Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu Hosts an “Delicious Experience” on an Autumn Morning: Farm Experience & Breakfast in the Fields Event

Date:Sunday November 29th
a man and two children in a field

On Sunday, November 29, we will host an agricultural experience and breakfast-in-the-fields event in collaboration with “wataya farm,” an organic farm in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture. This event is open to guests staying at the Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu on Saturday, November 28.

Yabu City in Hyogo Prefecture is blessed with abundant natural beauty, including Mt. Hyonosen—the highest peak in the prefecture—and Tendaki Falls, selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls. At wataya farm, they cultivate approximately 100 varieties of vegetables and wheat using pure water and mineral-rich soil.

At this event, you’ll first enjoy harvesting seasonal vegetables such as daikon radishes, carrots, and cabbage. You’ll be able to take some of them home as souvenirs. After the farming experience, it’s time for breakfast right in the fields. We’ll cook fresh Koshihikari rice in a traditional cast-iron pot, and you’ll get to try your hand at making rice balls. We’ll also serve kenchin-jiru soup made with plenty of vegetables from wataya farm and Daitoku soy sauce from Yabu City, as well as roasted sweet potatoes and freshly harvested vegetables.

Why not join us at this event—which offers fun for everyone from young children to adults—and spend some time savoring the rich culinary delights of Yabu City?
