On Sunday, September 27, we will host “Seasonal Fruit Picking & Danish Pastry Making with an Ukiha Local Navigator from Travel Serendipity <Part 2: Shinkou Pear>” for guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Fukuoka Ukiha. This event is part of a series featuring Ukiha's seasonal fruits, designed to let you “experience” the region’s charm. This event is the second part of a series designed to let you experience the charms of the Ukiha area, which is now entering the bountiful autumn season.

Ukiha City in Fukuoka Prefecture is known as the “Fruit Kingdom” where a wide variety of fruits ripen throughout the four seasons. This time, the spotlight is on the “Shinkou Pear”, a variety with a refreshing flavor that combines sweetness with a gentle tartness. During the event, we’ll first visit “Nakajima Farm” to experience harvesting while hearing directly from the farmers about pear cultivation. Afterward, at “Kawasemi Danish”—a shop specializing in fruit danishes—we’ll try our hand at making original danishes using the Shinkou Pear we harvested. Finally, enjoy tea time while savoring the finished danishes and connecting with other participants.

Why not take this opportunity to embrace Ukiha's autumn bounty and the warmth of its people, and spend a special day?
