Seasonal Fruit Picking & Danish Pastry Making with a Local Guide from “Travel Serendipity” in Ukiha Fairfield by Marriott Fukuoka Ukiha
On Sunday, August 30, we will host “Seasonal Fruit Picking & Danish Pastry Making with an Ukiha Local Navigator from Travel Serendipity” for guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Fukuoka Ukiha. This event is part of a series featuring Ukiha's seasonal fruits, designed to let you “experience” the region’s charm. The first event is a special program centered on Kyoho grapes, where you can enjoy them from harvest to tasting.
Ukiha City in Fukuoka Prefecture boasts natural conditions ideal for fruit cultivation and is renowned as one of Japan’s leading fruit-producing regions. At “Michi-no-Eki Ukiha,” located right next to the hotel, fresh seasonal fruits are on display year-round. During this event, we’ll first visit Nakajima Farm, where you’ll harvest Kyoho grapes while learning about the growers’ story. Afterward, head to “Kawasemi Danish” to try your hand at making an original Danish pastry using Kyoho grapes. Of course, there will also be a tea break where you can enjoy these flaky, crispy Danish pastries.

*In case of rain, the Kyoho grape picking experience will be canceled, and instead, you’ll enjoy a talk session about their commitment to fruit cultivation, the history of the orchard, and the charm of seasonal fruits.
