Doburoku tasting event in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture! Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo

On Sunday November 22, guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo will be invited to a Doburoku and Amazake tasting event in collaboration with the Gujo Doburoku Festival Committee in Gifu prefecture.
Doburoku, often referred to as the origin of sake, is a traditional fermented beverage made from rice and koji. Yamato Town in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, was designated as an exclusive Doburoku district in 2008, and local businesses and producers continue to craft a wide variety of unique doburoku.
At this event, you can enjoy doburoku brewed by the three breweries that won awards at the “17th National Doburoku Research Conference in Nakanoto.” In particular, the brewers from Motai Kobo and Mikawaya will be appearing at the event to share their passion for their respective doburoku, their dedication to the brewing process, and the distinctive flavors of their brews. We’ll also have amazake available so that those who don’t drink alcohol and children can enjoy the event as well.
Why not learn about the depth of Gujo’s terroir and food culture while enjoying a tasting and connecting with the brewers?
