On Saturday, August 22, in collaboration with Roadside Station Kannabe Kogen in Hyogo Prefecture, we will host a“Ghost Story Session and Watermelon-Splitting Experience” for guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Kannabe Highland.
This event combines ghost stories—a summer tradition—with watermelon, offering a special experience unique to this season. The ghost story session will feature Maiko Kitamura, a “ghost story farmer” from Hidaka-cho, Toyooka City, along with Sacrifice Okamoto and Kouhei Nishio from the ghost story unit “NANICA.” Their stories, centered on true-life ghost tales, will bring a moment of suspense to the summer night.
Following the ghost story session, enjoy a small watermelon-splitting experience featuring watermelons grown on the Kannabe Highlands, known for their high sugar content and distinctive sweetness. You can sample the watermelon right there on the spot—making this the perfect event for creating summer vacation memories for your family.
In addition, Roadside Station Kannabe Kogen will host “Kannabe Beer Night” and the “Watermelon Festival.” We invite you to fully embrace the charms of summer on the Kannabe Highlands, along with the region’s unique cuisine and events.
