Special Brewery Tour at “Hirano Jozo Brewery,” a Long-Established Sake Brewery in Gujo! Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo

On Saturday, September 19, Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo will hold a special sake brewery tour in collaboration with Hirano Jozo Brewery, a long-established sake brewery in Gifu Gujo. This event is open to guests staying at the hotel on the day of the event.

Hirano Jozo Brewery has been brewing sake since its founding in 1873 using the renowned spring water from “Kokin Denju no Sato” in Yamato-Cho, Gujo City. During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the inside of the brewery—an area normally off-limits to the public—while learning about the brewer’s dedication to their work. You’ll also be able to taste five different types of sake, including Daiginjo and Nigori sake, and learn about their distinct characteristics and the connection between Gujo’s local environment and its sake.
