Traditional Washi Papermaking Event at Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Mino
On Sunday, November 3rd, we will hold “Washi Papermaking Experience” event for guests staying at the Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Mino. This event will be held in collaboration with “Wallaby Land” in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, and you can experience washi making. The guests will also have the chance to tour a traditional house adorned with beautiful Washi creations. In addition to its long and rich history, the technique of Mino Washi’s papermaking was inscribed on UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2014. Take this wonderful opportunity to embark on an autumn trip to experience one of Japan's most iconic traditional crafts.
