Enjoy Japanese Shincha Experience at Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro
On Saturday May 24th, Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro will hold a tea Experiential Event for our staying guests to dive into Japanese Shincha produced in various places in Japan.
Minamiyamashiro Village is the only village in Kyoto Prefecture known as the main area producing Uji-Cha. The Michi-no-Eki “Minamiyamashiro-mura,” located next to the hotel, is very popular for its sweets and drinks that feature an abundance of “Muracha” (tea from the village).
We are pleased to welcome Japanese tea instructor Ms. Mika Hasegawa who will offer you a selection of three types of tea to compare: “Sencha from Minamiyamashiro”, “Pan-Fired Green Tea from Miyazaki”, and “Deep-Steamed Green Tea from Kagoshima”. Immerse yourself to the delicious experience of interacting with Ms. Hasegawa about the process of tea making and the different tastes of each Shincha variety.
