Kawachi Festival

This festival is held at Kawachi Shrine, which is said to be the triumphal return of the Kumano naval force that went to battle in the battle of Genpei (Genpei) and achieved victory. The main attraction of this festival, which is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan, is a fleet of three boats decorated like a picture scroll, a houseboat, an oared horse, and a lion dance. The Yoimiya Festival is usually held on the fourth Saturday in July, and the main festival on Sunday.
