Experience strawberry picking and daifuku mochi making with “Kashin Tanitsune” in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture! Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu

On Saturday, March 21, we will hold a strawberry picking and daifuku mochi making experience event for guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu in collaboration with the long-established confectionery shop “Kashin Tanitsune,” founded in 1868 in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Kashin Tanitsune is a representative Japanese confectionery shop of the Tajima region. Its signature confection, “Whisper of the Sweetfish,” received the Honors Grand Prize at the 23rd National Confectionery Exposition. Using carefully selected ingredients, they produce a wide range of traditional Japanese sweets as well as creative confections.

At the event, you'll tour the factory while learning about the history and craftsmanship. Then, you'll experience strawberry picking at their own farm. Using the strawberries you harvest, you'll try making strawberry daifuku under the guidance. Of course, you can savor the fresh strawberry daifuku right there, and enjoy shopping at the shop.
