Gaisen-sakura is a row of cherry trees in a post town, which is rare in Japan. It blooms at the latest in Okayama prefecture and attracts many tourists.

The Daigo cherry tree, the biggest tree in Okayama prefecture, is said to be over 700 years old. Located on a hillside in a mountain village, it is a solitary cherry tree that has been selected as one of the 100 most famous trees in Japan.The best time to visit is from early to mid-April.

 

Tottori Prefctural Flower Park ≪Hanakairo≫

Amidst tulips blooming throughout the park, the Keukenhof Corner draws particular attention.

Flowerbeds designed by world-renowned gardeners create a scene reminiscent of the Netherlands.

Cherry Blossom Festival at Tsuyama Castle (Kakuzan Park)

Tsuyama Castle is one of Japan's 100 best cherry blossoms viewing spots, a historical park, and a famous castle. The cherry blossoms in full bloom turn the park a light red color. The view from the castle tower is breathtaking, and you can also enjoy the emotional nighttime cherry blossoms.

 

Miyasumi Park (Cherry Blossom Festival)

400-11 Nishikawakami, Misakicho, Kume District, Okayama

Annual peak viewing period: Late March to Early April. 

The park is located on the summit of a 270-meter-high mountain overlooking Lake Asahikawa. There are approximately 5,000 cherry trees in the park and 3,000 cherry trees along the dam, making it a popular hanami spot(Cherry Blossom Viewing). It is also famous for its approximately 10,000 azaleas.

One of the best avenues of weeping cherry trees in Japan welcomes you. There are Someiyoshino and Yaezakura (double-flowered cherry trees), so you can enjoy a variety of cherry blossoms. Fee Adults 700 to 1200 yen, Children 300 to 600 yen (varies according to blooming conditions)

Weeping cherry blossoms and rape blossoms pouring down on a hill of about 30,000㎡ . The pink of the cherry blossoms, the yellow of the rape blossoms, and the blue of the sky, together with the colorful spring flowers are the highlight of the event. Nighttime cherry blossom lighting events are also held for a limited time.

 

Kozan Lavender Hill (Poppy Festa)

The scenery of poppies blooming all over the hill in various colors of red, white, and yellow is a unique and breathtaking photo-worthy spot. During the period of the festival, Visitors can enjoy picking poppies and chamomiles, as well as relaxing in the park's cafes and hammocks scattered around the park. A free dog run is also available.
