Yaotsu Danjiri Festival

Yaotsu Town, centered around Obune Shrine  Period: April 11-12, 2026 Open: 9:00 ~15:00

A danjiri festival with a history of over 300 years. Three massive floats, each about six meters high and weighing roughly four tons, parade through the town, and the sight of them charging through a crowded bend in front of the bank is absolutely breathtaking.

Cherry blossom at Ogura Park

You can enjoy the rows of cherry trees from the hotel. And also, Ogura Park is near the hotel where about 1,000 cherry blossom trees bloom in spring and they are lit up at night.

 

Teraogahara Senbonzakura Park

Mugegawacho Taniguchi, Seki, Gifu

The rows of cherry trees makes "cherry blossom tunnel" and it's lit up at night. Enjoy the fantastic view.

 

Cherry trees at MINO-WASHI Museum

1851-3 Warabi, Mino, Gifu

The rows of cherry trees along the clear Itadori River, which runs from the Mino Washi Museum to the Shimomaki area, are a great spot for both walking and driving.

Cherry Blossom at Atago Parks

85 Hachimancho Shimadani, Gujo, Gifu

Around 100 cherry trees of various types are planted here, with the 400-year-old ‘Sumizome no Sakura’ in the southern corner of the park being a must-see. It has been selected as one of the 33 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Hida and Mino, and is a perfect spot for cherry blossom viewing while viewing Gujo Hachiman Castle.

Minamicho Mito, Gujo Gifu

The cherry trees that line the 500 meter stretch of National Route 156 have been selected as one of the 33 Hida-Mino Cherry Blossoms and are a delight to the eyes of drivers passing by on the national highway.

Shokawasakura Park

There are two huge cherry trees which are transplanted from the bottom of the dam because of the request from local people. With this story, the trees are very popular among travelers too.

The upside-down weeping cherry blossom reflected in the water mirror is fantastic. The area is lit up at night.

The red bridge called Nakabashi is one of the best places to enjoy the scenary with cherry blossom.
