The Inuyama Festival is held in spring and fall at Haritsuna Shrine, which is located under Inuyama Castle, the oldest wooden castle tower in Japan. The sight of 13 gorgeous floats lined up in a row, passing through Inuyama Castle Town and gathering at Haritsuna Shrine, is breathtaking. This traditional event, which has continued since the Edo period, is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Visitors can experience picking strawberries for taking them out. The main variety grown here is “Yotsuboshi,” which has a good balance of sweetness and sourness, and original products such as gelato and Baumkuchen are also available.

Cherry trees at MINO-WASHI Museum

The rows of cherry trees along the clear Itadori River, which runs from the Mino Washi Museum to the Shimomaki area, are a great spot for both walking and driving.
This is a local spot not listed in any guidebooks.

Minamicho Mito, Gujo Gifu
The cherry trees that line the 500 meter stretch of National Route 156 have been selected as one of the 33 Hida-Mino Cherry Blossoms and are a delight to the eyes of drivers passing by on the national highway.
