Savor wines from Sera, Hiroshima Prefecture at Fairfield by Marriott Hiroshima Sera! 

On Saturday, July 11th, Wine tasting event will be held at Fairfield by Marriott Hiroshima Sera in collaboration with Sera Winery. Guests staying on the day of the event are welcome to join the event for free at any time during the event.

Sera Town in Hiroshima Prefecture is blessed with a climate ideal for fruit cultivation and has long been known as a major producer of fruit, particularly pears. At “Sera Winery,” they brew “Japanese wine” using only grapes grown by approximately 17 contracted farmers within the town, without relying on imported concentrated juice. For this event, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Yasuharu Hata, the facility director and a certified sommelier, who will explain the flavor profiles, production methods, and stories behind each wine, allowing you to savor a glass of wine born from the unique terroir of Sera Town.

On “Travel Serendipity,” a podcast about journeys filled with serendipity and discovery, we welcome Yuta Hashimoto, the head winemaker at Sera Winery, to take a deep dive into the charms of Sera Town  and Sera Winery.
