Join us for the ridge coating at rice paddies in Maruyama Senmaida - Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama

We are inviting guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama to participate in the “Ridge coating Experience” for rice cultivation at Maruyama Senmaida, organized by Kumanoshi Furusato Shinkou Kousya. Maruyama Senmaida is one of the largest and most beautiful rice terraces in Japan, and has been selected as one of the "100 best rice terraces" in Japan.

Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Project has been participating in the ownership program of Maruyama Senmaida since 2024, and the hotel staff has been engaged in rice planting and harvesting. This year, we are pleased to invite our hotel guests to participate in this activity. Why don't you experience the traditional way of ridge coating in the refreshing weather in April, while getting in touch with nature?

Schedule:  

Please go to Maruyama Senmaida by yourself from the hotel. (It takes about 30 minutes by car)

10:00 Gather at Maruyama Senmaida  

11:30 Lunch (Bento Box) 

12:00 End of the event

*Boots for rice planting, Work gloves

(Boots available for rental, but please bring your boots if you can, as there are a limited number available)
