Join us on Sunday May 19th, for the "Rice Planting Festival" at the Tsuzura Rice Terrace in Ukiha city, Fukuoka,, which has been selected as one of the "100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan. Sponsored by the Tsuzura Rice Terrace Conservation Council, It is now open to our guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Fukuoka Ukiha on May 18 to experience the traditional rice planting. After fully immersing yourself in Ukiha's natural abundance, feast on a lunch box prepared with fresh Ukiha ingredients prepared by local people.

9:15 Depart from hotel by bus → 9:45 Arrive at Rice Terrace → 10:00 Opening event, hand planting of the paddies → 11:45 Transfer to the lodge by bus → 12:00 Lunch → 13:00 Depart from the lodge by bus → 13:30 Arrive at hotel
*The event will be held only in Japanese.
・Attire and Footwear
Please join in comfortable clothes
*Clothing that can get dirty (You may get mud up to around your knees.)
*Sandals
*Many people work barefoot, but please note that the mud may contain small twigs and stones. If you prefer, please bring rice-planting shoes.
*Bringing a hat and sunscreen is also recommended.
