Join us for the “Rice harvesting” at rice paddies in Maruyama Senmaida - Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama

On Saturday September 13th, we are inviting guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama to participate in the “Rice harvesting” at Maruyama Senmaida, organized by Kumanoshi Furusato Shinkou Kousya. Maruyama Senmaida is one of the largest and most beautiful rice terraces in Japan and has been selected as one of the "100 best rice terraces in Japan.

Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Project has been participating in the ownership program of Maruyama Senmaida since 2024, and we participated in the ridge coating in April, rice planting in May, and scarecrow making in July. This time, under the instruction of the staff, we will harvest the gold-colored rice and hang several stalks together on a rice rack to dry in the sun. The bento box lunch we eat together after the rice harvest is truly exceptional. Why not explore the undiscovered Japan through interaction with nature in the beautiful rice paddies?

Eligibility: Guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama on September 12 or September 13.

Participation fee: 3,000 yen (tax included) *12 years old and above

*Please pay at the front desk upon check-in. (Credit card only)

Capacity: 10 people 

 

Schedule:  

Please go to Maruyama Senmaida parking lot by yourself from the hotel. (It takes about 30 minutes by car)

Please take a shuttle bus from the parking lot to Maruyama Senmaida.

9:30 Arrive at Maruyama Senmaida and start rice harvesting

11:30 Lunch (Bento Box) 

12:00 End of the event
