On Saturdays, May 17th, 24th, and 31st, Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minami Yamashiro will hold a tea-picking farm experience exclusively for staying guests of the hotel. This special event is a collaboration with “Murabetravel,” that offers immersive journeys into the daily lives of locals in Minamiyamashiro Village, the only village in Kyoto Prefecture and a renowned production area of Uji tea.. During this event, you will have the unique opportunity to interact with tea farmers and experience tea-picking in tea fields, that are normally off-limits. You will also visit a tea factory to observe the process of making sencha and savor tasting session of freshly brewed tea. May is the season of Shincha (new tea), making it the perfect time to explore the stunning tea fields and enjoy the finest tea in Minamiyamashiro Village.
