Join Agricultural and Financial Education event in Yabu

On Sunday, July 28th, we will hold an agricultural and financial education event in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture. In the morning, the guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu can enjoy an agricultural experience at an organic farm, wataya farm, including the harvesting and tasting seasonal vegetables. In the afternoon, the event will be organized by the Japan Financial Education Support Organization, where you can learn about money in a unique way using the vegetables harvested in the morning. Through this event, why not learn with your family about the charms of agriculture in Yabu City as well as money and regional revitalization in an enjoyable way?

【Morning Session: Agricultural Experience】
・Date / Time：Sunday July 28th 　8:00～9:00 
・Place：wataya farm fields 
・Capacity : 20 people 
・Price：Free of charge
*This event is available only for guests staying at the hotel on July 27th. 
*In case of light rain, the event will be held. In case of heavy rain or stormy weather, you will have an agricultural experience in a different way.

・Schedule 
7:50 Depart from hotel → Walk to the fields (about 10 min.) → Agricultural experience (there will be two or three fields to harvest), Tasting → Walk back to the hotel (about 10 min.)  → Arrive at hotel at 9:10 
*This tour will be held only in Japanese. 
 
・Attire and Footwear：Please join in comfortable clothes *Since footwear may get muddy, we recommend wearing boots. Wearing a hat is also recommended. 
・What to bring：Drink, Towel 
*Work gloves (for adults) will be provided by hotel. Please bring gloves for your children.

【Afternoon Session: ~ Yabu Challenge~ A Challenge for Kid CEOs! Let's Make Yabu's Vegetables a HIt Challenge!】

・Place： Yabu community centre
・Cooperation: Yabu City, Yabu City Board of Education
・Participants: Elementary to high school students
・Capacity : 20 people 
・Price：Free of charge
・Content: Children will learn about vegetables and deepen their understanding of money by thinking about how to effectively sell vegetables produced in Yabu.
This event is organized a precondition for participation in the "2nd FES Contest" sponsored by the Japan Financial Education Support Organization (JFES).
