Experience harvesting Kannabe daikon radishes at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Kannabe Highland!

On Sunday, November 16th, in collaboration with Michi no Eki Kannabe Kogen, we will hold a harvest experience event for the local specialty “Kannabe Daikon Radish”. Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Kannabe Highland is located in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. This area features significant temperature differences between day and night, and soil rich in volcanic ash provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for growing various agricultural products. At this event, while learning about Kannabe Highlands' climate, local specialties, and agriculture, you'll harvest sweet and juicy Kannabe daikon radishes and enjoy tasting Imoni stew with locally grown vegetables. 

On the day of the event, the “Kannabe Daikon Fair” is scheduled to be held at Michi no EkiKannabe Kogen. Why not take this opportunity to embark on a journey to discover the charms of Hyogo Kannabe Highland?

The event will be held in under rain.  

・Price：Free of charge 

・Capacity : 20 people    

This event is exclusively for the guests staying on Saturday, November 15th.    

  

・Schedule    

10:00 Depart from hotel, Walk to the fields (about 5 min.)   

→ Harvesting experience  

→ Tasting of imoni stew using abundant local ingredients at Roadside Station Kannabe Kogen 

→ 11:30 end of the event

・Attire and Footwear：Please join in comfortable clothes *Since footwear may get muddy, we recommend wearing boots. Wearing a hat is also recommended.    

・What to bring：drink for hydration, Towel    

*Work gloves (for adults) will be provided by hotel. Please bring gloves for your children.
