Approximately 2,000 fireworks will be launched in sync with Halloween-themed music.

 

Kyushu's Biggest Fireworks Festival

Approximately 22,000 fireworks, one of the largest in western Japan, will be launched. The spectacular fireworks will be spread across the night sky, including a one-shaku dama and the climax of a huge star mine in which 5,000 fireworks will be launched in 5 minutes.

 

Mifuneyama Rakuen Momiji Festival

4100 Takeo, Takeo, Saga  Date: Nov.6 to Dec. 7, 2025

You can see deep red colored Momiji in this season. Also, they will turn on the light in the nighttime.

Minamiaso Railway One Piece Sunny Ship Train

The “Sunny Go Train,” a collaboration train with the popular manga “One Piece” written by Eiichiro Oda, a manga artist from Kumamoto Prefecture, is in operation. Some schedules need to be reserved in advance.

 

Kagura Festival (Roadside Station: Namino Kaguraen)

Admission: 1,000 yen for high school students and older

Eight groups are scheduled to perform, including local troupes such as the Nakae and Yokobori Iwato Kagura Preservation Societies from Namino, Aso, as well as performers from Oita Prefecture.

 

Tanami Festival (Aso Shrine)

3083-1 Miyachi, Ichinomiya, Aso, Kumamoto  Date: Sep. 25 and 26, 2025

This festival is held at harvest time to show the appreciation for the completion of the rice crop. The first harvested rice is offered to the gods. Dedication events include ritual sumo wrestling and traditional horseback archery. It is said that horseback archery is performed because of the samurai character of the Aso Grand Shrine priests.

Kanoya Rose Garden is Japan's largest rose garden, with 35,000 roses planted on vast grounds. "Kanoya Rose Festival" will be held from Nov. 14 to Nov. 30, 2025.

 

Tarumizu Ginkgo tree Festival

Shinmido, Tarumizu, Kagoshima Best Season: From the end of November to the beginning of December

Approximately 1,200 ginkgo trees are planted on the 4.5-hectare site. From the end of November to the beginning of December, they are illuminated beautifully.
