The “Sunny Go Train,” a collaboration train with the popular manga “One Piece” written by Eiichiro Oda, a manga artist from Kumamoto Prefecture, is in operation. There is one round trip on Fridays and two round trips on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Only the afternoon service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays need to be reserved in advance.

This festival is held at harvest time to show the appriciation for the completion of the rice crop. The first harvested rice is offered to the gods. The dedication events include the Shinto rituals of wish wrestling and horseback archery. It is said that horseback archery is performed because of the samurai character of the Aso Grand Shrine priests.
